Bill was born in Woonsocket R.I. on April 7, 1932, and lived there until his High School Graduation in 1949. After serving in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, he moved to Boston and attended Schillinger House (precursor to Berklee College). In 1952 he joined the Boston Musicians Association and for the next 50 plus years became a free-lance pianist/ arranger in the Boston area.

In 1960 he joined the faculty at Berklee College and taught there for three years. In 1966 he received his Bachelor's Degree in Music from Boston Conservatory and moved to Norwood where he established the Choral Music Program at Norwood High School.

During this time, Bill earned his Master of Music Degree from Boston University, all the while playing and arranging music for various professional ensembles in Boston, Cape Cod and Rhode Island.

He served as Music Director at St Timothy's church in Norwood, and in 1978 became Music Director for the First Congregational Church, also in Norwood, where he remained for 35 years.

In 1994 he began as accompanist for the Chorus at Fox Hill Village in Westwood. In 2002, his wife Nancy joined him as director, and he began arranging complete programs for the elder voices he served.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Celebration of Bill's Life at the First Congregational Church, 100 Winter Street, Norwood on Saturday, October 14 at 2 P.M.
