KIPPENBERGER, Lorraine Marie (Symes) of Medfield, MA formerly of Westwood, MA died peacefully on May 20, 2022 after a courageous battle with Alzheimer's. Beloved wife of the late John Francis, Jr. Adored mother of Roberta and her husband Jay Sanphy, Sr. of Norton, MA; Jan Frances and her late husband Alan Gadde of Lakeville, MA; John Kippenberger, III and his wife Josette of Larimer, PA; Richard Kippenberger and his wife Lynne of Norwood, MA; and Kristie and her husband Patrick Commane of Medfield, MA. Cherished Grandmother of Jay, Jr. and Ian Sanphy, Colleen Gonsalves, Heather Gadde, Alexandra Hale, Elisha Veon, Megan, Caitlin, Michaela, Desiree, Anthony and Marilyn Kippenberger, and Jack Commane. Great Grandmother of Sterling Veon, Sophia and Skylar Kippenberger, and Jayden and Kamryn Gonsalves. Devoted sister of the late Robert G. Symes. Beloved daughter of the late Alice M. (Donoghue) and Robert M. Symes as well as several nieces and nephews and many Donoghue cousins.

A nurse by profession she spent twenty five years working for New England Nurses, Home Health Services Division, Regina Cleri, Inc. Archdiocese of Boston, and provided many families with end of life care. Special thanks to Kathy Reebe and the phenomenal staff at Thomas Upham House, Medfield, MA.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., WESTWOOD on Friday, May 27th from 4pm-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning May 28th in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington St., Norwood at 11am. Interment at New Westwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lorraine's memory to the Alzheimer's Association at or 309 Waverly Oaks Road Waltham, MA 02452.
