BIGELOW – Florence M. (Fontana), of Westwood, age 85, died at home May 20th, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Florence was born in Quincy and was a 1948 graduate of Quincy High School and a 1950 graduate of the Chandler School for Women in Boston. Upon graduation, Florence worked 8 years for the Rudel Machinery Co. in the Statler Office Building in Boston. She also helped at her daughter's business – Rehabilitation Specialists. Inc. in Quincy. After raising her two children, she was secretary for 20 years at St. Margaret Mary Parish, Westwood. Beloved wife of the late Curtis B. Bigelow with whom she had a marriage made in heaven – Thanks be to God. Devoted mother of Curt of Orlando, FL and Deb Barnett of Braintree and her fiancé John Banuk of Weymouth. Loving "Nona" of Kyle and Brian Barnett. Sister of the late Frank Fontana. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews and their families. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours in the Holden, Dunn and Lawler Funeral Home, 55 High Rock St., Westwood on Thursday May 26th from 4-8pm. Funeral from the funeral home on Friday morning May 27th at 9am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Margaret Mary Church, 845 High St., Westwood at 10am. Interment at New Westwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a gift to St. Margaret Mary Parish would be appreciated.
