Carol M. Callahan of Westwood, MA passed away peacefully on April 12, 2022, at the age of 99. The daughter of the late Clarence and Clara (Lewis) Peterson of Menasha, WI, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1944 with a certification in physical therapy and enlisted in the US Army during WWII, achieving the rank of 1st Lieutenant.

Her loves and talents included tennis at The Longwood Cricket Club and The Badminton & Tennis Club, skiing in Snowmass, Colorado, travel, curating her own spectacular gardens and creating future green legacies for friends and neighbors. A long-time supporter of The Audubon Society and Save the Children Foundation, she also served as a docent, loved classical music and had acquired an encyclopedic knowledge of the celestial sky.

Carol was preceded in death by her sister, Juliane, brother Clarence and sister Margaret. She is survived by her three children; G. Paul Callahan Jr, (Elizabeth Hall) Patricia Callahan, (Asher Kramer) and Karen Callahan, (David Rosen), sister Edith Livingston, sister-in-law Phyllis Callahan, three grandchildren; David Kramer, Henry Kramer and Caroline Cozzi, nieces and nephews Juliane M. Harris, Thomas Patrick Harris, Rhonda Studer, William F. Callahan lll and Richard P. Callahan.
